Games For Love Wins Battle For Charity 2024

Amidst the glitz and glamor of Las Vegas, something special happened at the third annual Battle For Charity Esports Tournament. Held at the state-of-the-art HyperX Arena on January 11th, six charities battled head-to-head in the digital arena of Valorant, not just for glory, but to raise funds for their worthy causes.

Competing For The Win

Among the contenders were Team Games For Love, renowned for their dedication to alleviating the suffering of children through a multifaceted program ecosystem. Joining them were Team Stack Up, providing support to military service members through the power of video games, and Team Harmony New Beginnings Animal Rescue, committed to rescuing and rehabilitating animals while fostering compassion.

… underprivileged communities, Team Starlight Children’s Foundation, brightening the lives of seriously ill children through entertainment, and Team Lanfest, fostering healthy communities through gaming. Notably, Lanfest also played host to the event, presented through the Bob Woodruff Foundation, which extends its support to veterans.

The Games Begin

For Games For Love, this wasn’t their first rodeo. Having secured third place in the previous year’s tournament, they returned in 2024 with an all-star lineup that proved to be unstoppable. Led by the CEO and Founder, Nathan Blair, Games For Love rallied a formidable team of champions, driven by their shared mission of bringing joy to millions of children through gaming.

“The chemistry of our team is insane,” remarked Ryan, known as Realzbluewater in the gaming world. “These guys are top-level, and we really gelled. It was a great team to be a part of.”

Victory #ForTheKids

The victorious Valorant squad from Games For Love included Keeoh, Shiro_Rz, Westjett1, LegitRyanBlake, and Ludilue, showcasing not only their gaming prowess but also their commitment to making a difference.

Reflecting on the triumph, Nathan Blair expressed gratitude for the support of the gaming community. “We’re so fortunate as an organization to be connected to hundreds of premiere content creators,” he shared. “I believe the mission we have of serving millions of kids by bringing gaming into hospitals is something that resonates with these top-level gamers. More Than A Game

This year the six teams will share donations totaling over $37,500 which were collected prior to and also during the live event which was broadcast on Lanfest’s Twitch channel.
