1UP LIFEBRIDGE · INTERNATIONAL RESCUE PROGRAM

When no one else will pay, we keep the kid alive.

In many countries, hospitals turn kids away if their family can’t pay cash up front. 1Up LifeBridge is the last call. We fund the surgery, the medicine, the prosthetic, the chemo — so a kid who would have died gets to grow up instead.

THE PROBLEM

A kid in the Philippines just died from something a $40 medicine could have fixed.

It happens every day. Not because of bad medicine. Because of bad money. In many countries, hospitals require cash up front before they will treat a child — even for emergencies. No money, no care. Kid goes home to die.

HOW WE SAVE A LIFE

Three steps. Real lives. Real receipts.

No abstract “ecosystems.” This is exactly what happens when you donate.

1

Listen.

Local partners on the ground tell us which kid needs help right now. Social workers, nurses, doctors — people who live there. Not us guessing from a desk in Seattle.

2

Fund.

We pay the hospital directly. Surgery. Chemo. Prosthetic. Whatever the kid needs to live. Receipts go in our books, photos go to the donor. Every dollar tracked.

3

Heal.

Kid gets better. Family stays together. We don’t disappear — we follow up for years through our Program Ecosystem®: school, scholarships, internships, careers.

REAL KIDS. REAL OUTCOMES.

Meet the kids you saved.

Each of these kids was supposed to die. Then someone like you said yes.

QUESTIONS PEOPLE ASK

FAQ

What is 1Up LifeBridge?

1Up LifeBridge is Games For Love’s international emergency program. We fund life-saving medical treatment for children in developing countries when their families can’t pay and no other charity will step in. We pay hospitals directly, work through vetted local partners, and follow each kid through recovery and beyond.

How can I help a child needing life-saving treatment abroad?

Donate to 1Up LifeBridge. Every dollar pays a hospital directly for a child’s treatment — surgery, chemo, prosthetics, medicine, or family support. You can give to a specific child’s active campaign, sponsor monthly, or fund the general 1Up pool which we allocate to the most urgent case that week. We send photo updates on the kid your gift helped.

Where does my donation actually go?

86% of every dollar goes directly to programs (kids, treatments, equipment). 14% covers administration and fundraising. Games For Love is a 4-Star Charity Navigator rated 501(c)(3) public charity (top 300 of 225,000 charities reviewed). All financials are public.

What countries does 1Up LifeBridge operate in?

We currently operate in 11 countries across Southeast Asia, Africa, and Latin America — always through vetted local partner organizations with proven track records. We don’t enter autocratic territories without an exceptional reason and a partner who can operate safely.

How is 1Up LifeBridge different from other pediatric medical charities?

Three things: (1) We pay hospitals directly — no cash through middlemen. (2) We don’t disappear after one treatment. Every kid we save enters our Program Ecosystem® — education, scholarships, internships, careers. (3) Family preservation is core. We help families stay together through crisis, not pull kids into institutions.

Is my donation tax-deductible?

Yes. Games For Love is a registered 501(c)(3) public charity in the United States (EIN 83-2034928). All donations are fully tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. You’ll receive a receipt for your records.

I’m a hospital or organization in a developing country — can we partner?

Possibly. We accept referred partners with proven local track records, focus on pediatric emergency care, and operate with transparency. Email [email protected] with your organization details and current operations.
