A KIDS OF STEAM INITIATIVE · GAMES FOR LOVE

Kids Helping Kids. You don’t have to be a grown-up to change a life.

3 million kids are hospitalized in the US every year. The people best at helping them? Other kids. Turn your birthday, your stream, your bake sale, or your tournament into a fundraising campaign. It takes about 5 minutes to set up. Every $1.50 touches one life.

HOW IT WORKS

Three steps. You already know how to do all of them.

Your campaign page tracks every dollar live. Donors see your name, your goal, and your why.

1

Pick your thing.

Your birthday. A gaming marathon. A school challenge. A chess bracket. Anything you already love doing can raise money for kids in hospitals. Steal an idea below ↓

2

Make your page.

Hit Start Your Campaign. Name it, set a goal, add a photo and your why. Under 18? A parent or guardian creates it with you. About 5 minutes, start to share-link.

3

Share it. Watch it climb.

Send the link to family, friends, teammates, your school. Your page shows every donation live. Thank each donor by name. Watch your total turn into lives touched.

QUESTIONS KIDS (AND PARENTS) ASK

FAQ. Kids Helping Kids

What is Kids Helping Kids?

Kids Helping Kids is the youth fundraising initiative of Kids of STEAM, a Games For Love program. Kids run their own fundraising campaigns: birthdays, game marathons, school challenges, tournaments. The money eases suffering for children in hospitals and funds free STEAM education.

Do I need to be 18 to start a campaign?

No. But a parent or guardian needs to create the campaign account with you. They handle the official setup; you run the campaign, the sharing, and the thank-yous.

Where does the money actually go?

To Games For Love, a 501(c)(3) charity rated #1 in gaming on Charity Navigator. 86% of every dollar goes directly to programs that ease suffering, save lives, and create sustainable futures for children. Every $1.50 touches one life.

Is there a minimum amount I have to raise?

No minimum. A $30 campaign touches 20 lives. Set a goal that excites you, and raise it if you smash it early.

Can my school, club, or team run a campaign together?

Yes. One campaign page can represent a whole class, club, or team. Or run one page per team and make it a competition. A teacher, coach, or parent sets up the page.

How is this connected to Kids of STEAM and AccessCon?

Kids Helping Kids is the giving side of Kids of STEAM: kids learn free coding and STEAM skills, connect with the industry at AccessCon, and give back by fundraising for the kids coming up behind them.

Somewhere there’s a kid in a hospital bed. Be the kid who showed up for them.

Five minutes to launch. One week of sharing. A number on your page that means real kids got real help.
