Echo Esports’ Raises More than $40,000 for Charity Partner During the Race to World First Competition
Cologne, Germany — September, 2024 — Games For Love, a global charity focused on easing the suffering of hospitalized children through the transformative power of play, is proud to have been selected as the charity partner of choice for Echo Esports during the Race to World First: Nerub’ar Palace.
The Race to World First is one of the most thrilling events in the World of Warcraft community. As players worldwide dove into Blizzard Entertainment’s newest raid, The War Within, anticipation was at an all-time high. Kicking off on September 11 and spanning 12 days of intense gameplay, this race brought global attention to top-tier guilds like Echo, as well as the causes they supported.
This year’s race delivered spectacular moments, with hundreds of pulls on Queen Ansurek setting the stage for epic competition. While Echo narrowly missed securing first place in the raid—finishing behind Team Liquid—the team clinched another important victory: leading all competing guilds in charitable donations.
A Record-Breaking Fundraising Effort
Through the creativity, dedication, and humor of Echo’s community, the team raised an incredible $40,125, surpassing the combined efforts of all other participating guilds. Funds were raised through interactive incentives, which kept viewers entertained while contributing to a meaningful cause.

More than 8 million hours of Echo broadcasting were watched during this awesome event!
