When the World of Warcraft community comes together, magic happens! Regardless of which team you root for or which version of WoW you play, we all unite to witness the best players in the world push themselves to the limit during the legendary Race to World First. And this year, something truly special happened: an epic partnership between Games For Love and Echo Esports brought gaming and charity together in a way that made an incredible impact!

Gaming for a Cause

Over the course of 12 action-packed days, Echo Esports and their dedicated community helped raise awareness and crucial funds for Games For Love. Through an electrifying live stream event that reached the #1 spot on Twitch for March, more than 8 million unique viewers tuned in to witness the madness unfold! From hilarious incentives—casters painting their faces, submerging their feet into tubs of beans, and downing some truly disgusting concoctions—to heartfelt moments of storytelling about our mission, this event had it all.

Thanks to the generosity of the WoW community, tens of thousands of dollars were raised, contributing to a grand total of $90,065 across three different fundraising events (two in WoW and one in Final Fantasy). These donations directly support our mission of bringing distraction gaming therapy into hospitals, helping kids find joy, relief, and healing through the power of play.
