Help Seattle Children’s Hospital Build a Gaming Therapy Room
Provide hospitalized children with gaming technology to reduce pain and anxiety during treatment.
Give This Project a Boost
Our Story
As the Child Life Specialist at Seattle Children’s Hospital, I see firsthand how gaming technology can transform a child’s hospital experience. Our current gaming equipment is outdated and insufficient for the growing needs of our patients.
With this project, we aim to create a dedicated gaming therapy room equipped with the latest consoles, VR headsets, and adaptive controllers for children with limited mobility.
- PlayStation 5 consoles for group gaming
- Oculus Quest 2 VR headsets for immersive distraction
- Xbox Adaptive Controllers for accessibility
- High-performance gaming laptops for creative expression
“The gaming cart is the only thing that gets me through my chemo treatments. When I’m playing, I forget about the pain.”
